The Use of Child-Centered Play Therapy for Children Who Have Experienced Sexual Abuse

Child sexual abuse (CSA) has long been recognized as a complex and global threat to young children. When it comes mental health, CSA can leave victims with long-term problems that persist into adolescence adulthood, like anxiety depression. Child-centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is an evidence-based approach health treatment CCPT based on the belief play child’s natural language so therapist required make inferences about themes through observations of therapy sessions. This qualitative study utilised method acquire greater understanding information regarding in child victims. case employed observation was supported by session reports main data collection method. In total, there were five children aged between 6 9 years old involved this study. There are several identified, such mistrust, autonomy/ independence, shame/doubt, industry initiative.
